The SOS506 provides safe storage for between 6 and 10 foam filled lifejackets or immersion suits (exact capacity depends on model). It is in widespread use inside offshore wind turbines due to its ruggedness and excellent level of protection. The chest is made of thick single skin UV stabilised polyethylene so will provide many years of reliable use. The lid is secured by a marine bungee cord which makes it easy to open with only one hand or when wearing gloves. This very effective sealing gives it an excellent IP rating of x5. The base is reinforced for deck mounting and the design means they can be stacked when not in use to minimise storage and transport costs. It comes with a five year guarantee.
