The JB08LJ is fitted with four automatic life jacket hangers for the storage of approximately 20 life jackets (not packed in foil or vacuum bags). This helps prevent condensation which could lead to accidental inflation. The jackets are also easily and quickly reached in an emergency. The cabinets are manufactured using Lloyds approved composites including UV resistant gelcoats to provide long lasting protection in even the harshest environments. This is backed up with an excellent IP rating of 56. It has both Lloyds and ABS approvals.
The door can be specified with left or right hinging and features a nylon rod handle to pull the door open to guarantee fast access in an emergency even when wearing gloves.
Please note: For automatic life jackets packed into foil or vacuum bags we recommend using the JB08LJS instead as this has shelves rather than hangers inside.
