The JB70 knotted rope chest offers an excellent level of protection for knotted rope ladders on vessels. This is a far more durable and effective than material covers often used. The chests are manufactured using Lloyds approved composites including UV resistant gelcoats to provide long lasting protection in even the harshest environments. This is backed up with an excellent IP rating of 56 (unless the lid has the optional rope cut out as shown). It has both Lloyds and ABS approvals.

The design ensures a high level of rigidity for the relatively low weight with a very effective EPDM seal around the lid aperture. The flat 316 Stainless steel hinges are secured with 316 stainless steel nuts, bolts and washers to provide strong reliable fixings to the cabinet body. The Lid features a polyamide handle to pull open to guarantee fast access in an emergency even when wearing gloves. The lid catches can also be fitted with breakable anti-tamper seals.
