The JB17.1400 Life jacket or immersion suit cabinet is extensively used offshore on vessels as well as oil rigs and substations. These large cabinets are manufactured using Lloyds approved composites including UV resistant gelcoats to provide long lasting protection in even the harshest environments. This is backed up with an excellent IP rating of 56. It has both Lloyds and ABS approvals.
The cabinet is fitted with 1 shelf for the storage of automatic lifejackets in bags, foam filled life jackets or immersion suits. Exact capacity depends on model being stored.

The design ensures a high level of rigidity for the relatively low weight with a very effective EPDM seal around the door apertures. The 316 Stainless steel hinges are secured with 316 stainless steel nuts, bolts and washers. The interlocking doors are secured with 316 stainless steel 3 way locking fitted with a single handle to guarantee fast access in an emergency even when wearing gloves. It can be manufactured in a variety of colours. It can also be fitted with insulation and heaters to prevent frost in cold climates.
