The JB29 Wind turbine escape equipment cabinets is designed to cope with cyclone wind speeds (45 M/S) on top of offshore wind turbines nacelles or mounted on the foundations. They are manufactured using Lloyds approved composites including UV resistant gelcoats to provide long lasting protection in even the harshest environments. This is backed up with an excellent IP rating of 56. It has both Lloyds and ABS approvals.
The cabinet stores immersion suits and emergency descent devices. It is in widespread use in the North sea and elsewhere.

This very rigid design features a very effective EPDM seal around the door aperture. The three way locking (with security tag facility)and the hinges, nuts, bolts and washers are all manufactured in 316 stainless steel for excellent corrosion resistance.

The door can be specified with left or right hinging and the 316 stainless steel handle is easy to operate in an emergency even when wearing gloves. The JB29 can be supplied with adapters to fit a number of offshore wind turbines. Please ask for details.
