The JB72FB Life jacket chest is used to store approximately 28 foam filled life jackets and or a number of Immersion suits. The exact quantity depends on the types being stored but is typically between 18-35 life jackets. The Jo Bird sales team will be happy to check the exact capacity for you. The FB suffix denotes it has a flat base rather than integral feet.
These chests are manufactured using Lloyds approved composites including UV resistant gelcoats to provide long lasting protection in even the harshest environments. This is backed up with an excellent IP rating of 56. It has both Lloyds and ABS approvals.
The design of the JB Chests ensures a high level of rigidity for the relatively low weight. There is also a high quality EPDM seal around the lid aperture for excellent weather sealing. The 316 Stainless steel hinges and lid catches are secured with 316 stainless steel nuts and bolts instead of rivets. The lid catches are large enough to be opened even when wearing gloves and positioned so one person can open the chest. Anti-tamper seals can be fitted to the lid catches for added security.
Insulation and heating for safe and explosion risk zones are also available as an optional extra. Please ask for details.
Please note: If the version with integral feet is preferred please see the JB72 on a separate listing as shown at the bottom of the page.
