This is the second smallest of four sizes of splinter box for Naval damage control. It is extensively used by Navies around the world. It has the NATO stock code NSN 2040-99-339-4401. They are used to plug splinter holes to prevent flooding. The design is very robust and is manufactured using Lloyds approved composites including UV resistant gelcoat and class 2 flame retardant resins to provide long lasting protection. It has a highly durable 18mm EPDM seal around the edge and a rough finish on the outside to help secure in position.
