They are manufactured using Lloyds approved composites including UV resistant gelcoats to provide long lasting protection in even the harshest environments. This is backed up with an excellent IP rating of 56. It has both Lloyds and ABS approvals.

The chest design ensures a high level of rigidity for the relatively low weight with a very effective EPDM seal around the aperture of the lid. The 316 Stainless steel lid catches and hinges are secured with 316 stainless steel nuts, bolts and washers. The size and positioning of the catches makes it easy for one person to open quickly in an emergency even when wearing gloves.
The lid catches can be fitted with anti-tamper seals.

Insulated and heated versions for cold climates are popular options or vents for warmer, humid environments.

Please note: There is also a version of this chest with a flat base and without feet. Please see:https://www.spacabinets.com/product/life-jacket-cabinet-jb73fb/
