Will you be at Seawork 2024 in Southampton tomorrow?
We aren’t exhibiting there this year but have provided the SOS700 lifebuoy housings and SOS603 rescue line cabinet for the pontoons as we usually do. This has always been a really enjoyable event, usually blessed with hot sunshine and has a very positive vibe. Too early to tell yet about the sunshine tomorrow but Nick Atkins, marketing manager, will be there regardless.
He’s really looking forward to catching up with friends in the industry as well as seeing what is new in the world of commercial marine.

A photo taken at Seawork 2023. This was taken from a vessel showing the pontoons and exhibition halls in the background. The site is the Mayflower marina in Southampton. Jo Bird lifebuoy and rescue line cabinets are positioned around the pontoons in case anyone accidentally goes for a swim. With such a great record for good weather at this event, this might appeal to some!

At the same time, Tom England, Sales Manager, we will be attending the Energy Exports conference at the P&J Live conference venue in Aberdeen. This excellent event is run by the EIC and provides the opportunity to hear first hand from offshore energy developers and to network with the Jo Bird customers and distributors in the area.

Being indoors, the weather shouldn’t be such a factor. Tom will be there on both days (Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th of June) and will be delighted to meet you there.

This image shows one of the panel discussions from the EIC's Energy export conference in 2023. The panels are made up of experts in offshore energy technology. The slide features a floating offshore wind substation and turbines. With Jo Bird's track record in offshore wind, this would have been of great interest.
