The Jo Bird factory is closed from lunchtime on the 20th of December and will reopen on Thursday 2nd of January for the Christmas and new year holiday. The celebrations started with all the Jo Bird staff heading down to Riche’s cider farm for a delicious meal. The portions are not normally small and it is probably just as well, the “working day” finishes then!

The factory may be still but don’t be fooled though, this is very much the quiet before the storm as 2025 is already shaping up to be a busy one.

We are delighted to say we have recently secured further orders for our JB29 cabinets for use on Orsted turbines in the Irish sea. This represents further proof of the trust in Jo Bird cabinets in the harshest of offshore conditions. Projects in Offshore Wind now makes up 33% of Jo Bird’s outstanding order book, showing the depth of our offerings to this industry and the full scope of our supply. Including JB29’s for turbines, LSA cabinets for OW substations and further cabinets for Installation vessels.

In the meantime, its on with the Christmas jumpers and off to the Apple orchard we go!

Everyone at Jo Bird wishes all our customers and suppliers a Happy Christmas and New year!
