Jo Bird received an order this week for the Floatel Endurance thanks to Semco Maritime. The Endurance is a semi-submersible, accommodation and construction vessel. It was built the by Keppel/FELS shipyard in Singapore. It has air- conditioned accommodation for 440 people in single ensuite rooms and has a mess which can seat 220. The telescopic gangway to transfer construction crews to rigs or vessels is a cool feature too.
It is designed to operate in the harshest of climates including the Northern North sea and is being equipped with 9 of the largest Jo Bird cabinets, the JB17.1400s. These will be used to store immersion suits.
