Guy Atkins, Managing director, took part in two events organised by the Department for Business and Trade celebrating international exports week. This involved being part of the panel in discussions aimed at encouraging other UK companies to export.
Guy was there representing Jo Bird are one of four hundred UK export champions. As Guy stated “Thanks to the Department for Business and Trade for the excellent series of events this week, really informative and great networking occasions. Especially today at the Aerospace Museum in Bristol. It would be fantastic if the positivity expressed at these events translates into more companies exploring the huge benefits of exporting. The DBT has recruited about 400 champions who are experienced exporters, like me, who want to help others to begin or develop their international sales.”
At the same time, Nick Atkins, Marketing manager, was at the #ahoy venue in the port city of Rotterdam for the Europort 2023 maritime exhibition. He again shared a stand with our friends from Pronomar drying systems who are well established in the commercial marine and Defence sectors. It was, as always, very well attended by visitors from the Netherlands and much further afield. Also a great opportunity to talk to Naval architects, shipyards and our excellent distributors the company has in the Netherlands. Our sincere thanks to Jaap Baars and his team at Pronomar for making this a very enjoyable and useful event.
Simultaneously, Jon Falkingham, sales coordinator, was attending his first solo exhibition and conference Offshore wind North East 2023 in Sunderland which is organised by the NOF. There he could keep abreast of the latest developments in offshore wind and catch up with our distributors in the sector.
In all, a very busy week and we are sure Tom England, sales manager, will be greatly relieved to have everyone back next week so he can take off some of those hats!
