The JB71 Life jacket cabinet can be used to store approximately 14 foam filled life jackets and or Immersion suits. The exact capacity depends on the types being stored but is approximately between twelve and eighteen life jackets. The number of immersion suits will be smaller due to the greater size. It is also used as a portable fire monitor cabinet on ships/FPSOs.
They are manufactured using Lloyds approved composites including UV resistant gelcoats to provide long lasting protection in even the harshest environments on or offshore. This is backed up with an excellent IP rating of 56. It has both Lloyds and ABS approvals.

The design ensures a high level of rigidity for the relatively low weight and uses a very effective EPDM seal around the lid aperture. The 316 Stainless steel lid catches and hinges are secured with 316 stainless steel nuts, bolts and washers. The size and positioning of the catches makes it easy for one person to open quickly in an emergency even when wearing gloves.
The lid catches can be fitted with anti-tamper seals.
