Offshore Wind
Jo Bird cabinets are extensively used by the major offshore wind operators to protect their vital lifesaving equipment on the fixed assets such as the offshore substations and turbines but also the Wind farm installation (WTIV) and Service operation vessels (SOV). The many companies using Jo Bird cabinets include Equinor, Orsted, RWE, SSE and TenneT. The combination of lightweight but durable construction matched with superb IP ratings and long design life make Jo Bird the cabinets of choice.
The range covers not only descent device cabinets but lifebuoys, smoke hoods, Fire fighter’s equipment cabinets, lifejackets, survival suits, first aid and stretcher cabinets. Most can be customised to store a variety of equipment in the same cabinet so it can be quickly and easily reached in an emergency. For colder waters, Jo Bird can supply cabinets with insulation and self regulating heaters to prevent frost.
The vast majority of the range have both LLoyds type test approval and American Bureau of shipping (ABS) product design assessment approvals.
